French wine region sponsors Dinner Jazz show

The Bordeaux Wine Council is to sponsor a new show, 'Dinner Jazz with Bordeaux Wines.

The programme will launch on 14 October and will broadcast on Jazz FM every weeknight from 7-10pm, presented by Sarah Ward and Helen Mayhew.

It will run initially for three months and it is the first time wine cooperative has advertised on radio.Read more

Film and wine lovers are in for a treat this September when they shop for Bordeaux wines at UK supermarkets.

Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Co-Op, Asda and Somerfield stores nationwide are offering  exclusive free membership to the online film library, and Bordeaux wine gifts, for those collecting the special on-pack promotion.Read more

New centre will become tourist hub for wine

The mayor of Bordeaux, Alain Juppé, announced at Vinexpo, the world’s largest wine fair, that the city will be investing in a new wine culture venue to be opened by April 2010.

The venue similar to the concept of Vinopolis in the UK, will explain the history of wine, but will act as a tourist hub to guide visitors through the region and hospitality centre with restaurants and bars.
